COMMUNITY & NETWORKING

Yes, The Duke itself is just a building, and our office spaces have doors for privacy and focused work time, but, it is our hope to cultivate a society of creative entrepreneurs who have a "community over competition" mindset and have a desire to share, learn, refer and be referred. A culture that puts a value on other businesses and sees the great benefits of working together.

Working side by side in the same building is definitely the first step to creating this culture, but the world is so much bigger than The Duke's four walls!

COMMUNITY OVER COMPETITION

THE DETAILS

What are the meet-ups?

Tuesdays-Together meet-ups are gathers for entrepreneurs who have a desire to share their knowledge, learn from their piers, and grow together. The meetings are designed to be approachable, authentic, and up-lifting. Each month, we'll be releasing and overarching topic to kickstart the conversation and allowing the meeting to flow from there.

Where & When do we meet?

Our meetings generally take place on the 3rd Tuesday of each month and whereas our meetings used to be housed here at The Duke we've grown too large to be housed here moving forward. Meetings are generally between 10AM and Noon. All details for our meeting can be found in our Facebook Group.

How do I sign up?

Our Facebook Group is the platform where the group operates from. It's a private group so just ask to join us and you'll be in the loop for all future meetings and be able to access all the help the group can offer!

Who are they for?

Creative Entrepreneurs & Small Business CEO's, including: Artists, Bloggers, Boutique Owners, Calligraphers, Designers, Event Planners, Florists, Photographers, Stylists, and all Local Store Owners! Basically if you feel like you could benefit from a friendship with another business you're probably welcome to join!

What does a meeting typically look like?

At the Niagara Tuesdays-Together meetings we're really quite casual and people focused. It's different than most "networking events" you'd say. It's designed for you to really get connected with the people behind each business. With the premise that a real relationships will be far more beneficial than a record high business card exchange.

To answer the question, gatherings always begin with warm drinks and connecting. This eventually leads into a discussion on our business topic of the month followed by an open question and answer segment.

Whether you’ve been in business for five years or five days, there are always new tips and tricks emerging in the marketplace. It is our hope that by creating a safe space for open dialog and idea sharing we can help one another to thrive.

The relationships I develop and maintain through NTT helps me choose who I will recommend to my clients each day. These friendships are key for me as my business is designed around collaboration. Also, working from home all day long has it's perks but NTT keeps me connected- like my office co-workers! These meetings have become a big priority to me. I continue to learn new ways to improve and grow my business- we all have a lot we can teach each other and learn from one another!
